The God Who Saves

Saturday's Reflection
Revelation 7:10 — And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
John’s vision lifts our eyes to the final worship scene of history. The redeemed from every nation stand before God’s throne, clothed in white, waving palm branches—the ancient symbol of victory. Their united cry, “Salvation to our God and unto the Lamb,” echoes the earlier song of Revelation 5, where angels and elders surrounded the throne, declaring, “Worthy is the Lamb that was slain.” Together these scenes reveal heaven’s central theme: redemption through the blood of Jesus Christ. No one boasts of their own righteousness; all glory belongs to God alone.
Each glimpse of heavenly worship in Revelation reminds us that salvation’s story began long before and continues forever. The same Lamb once seen on the cross now reigns on the throne. The martyrs beneath the altar (Revelation 6:9–11) who once cried for justice now join the multitude in praise, their tears wiped away, their faith fulfilled. From patriarchs to prophets, apostles to believers throughout the ages, all voices blend in one anthem: salvation belongs to God. What began as a solitary song in the hearts of the faithful on earth becomes a thunderous chorus in heaven.
This vision gives strength to live and worship faithfully today. Every time we sing a hymn of praise, we echo that future song. Every testimony of grace adds another note to the coming symphony of the redeemed. One day, the praise that now rises from scattered congregations across the world will join into one unbroken harmony before the throne, declaring forever that our salvation comes from God and the Lamb.
“Heaven will be filled with the music of the redeemed as they cast their crowns at the feet of the Saviour, exclaiming, ‘Worthy is the Lamb.’” (Ellen G. White, The Great Controversy, p. 678)
Prayer: Worthy Lamb of God, all glory and salvation belong to You. Fill our hearts with the joy of redemption and our voices with praise. Keep us faithful until we join that eternal chorus before Your throne. Amen.
