Friday's Reflection
Matthew 11:28 — Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Jesus invites everyone who feels tired, burdened, or discouraged to come to Him. The rest He offers is more than sleep—it is peace that reaches deep into the soul. When we know that Jesus loves, forgives, and accepts us, our fears begin to fade. He quiets the storms inside our hearts and teaches us to rest in His care, even when life around us is difficult. In His presence, the anxious mind finds calm and the weary spirit finds strength.
Coming to Jesus brings healing to every part of life. He renews our bodies with courage to face each day, comforts our emotions with His unchanging love, and restores our spirits with forgiveness and hope. When we walk with Him, broken relationships can be mended, pride softens into humility, and bitterness melts into grace. His touch makes our hearts gentle and our words kind again. Through faith in Christ, we learn to love others as He loves us, and that love itself becomes a healing power.
Jesus also gave us the Sabbath as a special time to come apart and rest in Him. One day each week, He calls us to lay down our burdens, leave behind our rush and noise, and remember that He is our Creator and Redeemer. The Sabbath is more than a day off—it is an appointment with God, a reminder that our worth does not depend on work or worry, but on His love. In worship, prayer, and fellowship, we taste the peace of heaven that one day will fill all eternity.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for calling us to come and rest in You. Heal our hearts, renew our minds, and make our relationships whole. Teach us to find joy in Your presence each day and to honor Your Sabbath as a time of peace and renewal. Amen.
