Faith That Overcomes

🎧 Listen to Today's Devotional

Monday's Reflection

Hebrews 11:1 — Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Faith makes the unseen real. It bridges the gap between present struggles and future promises, enabling us to live today with the certainty of tomorrow’s fulfillment. When Martin Luther stood before kings and bishops at the Diet of Worms, declaring, “Here I stand, I can do no other,” he had no worldly power—only faith. That faith not only gave him courage in the moment but ignited a movement that reshaped Christianity and inspired generations.
Modern stories echo this same truth. In 1955, Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat on a segregated bus in Alabama. Though she faced threats, humiliation, and possible harm, her faith in God’s justice gave her strength to stand firm. Her quiet act of courage became the spark for the civil rights movement. Faith is never passive—it takes unseen conviction and turns it into visible action, proving that God still works through ordinary people who believe in His unseen promises.
