Salvation in Christ

Sunday's Reflection
Acts 4:12 — Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Salvation is the greatest gift God has ever offered to humanity. It cannot be earned by good works, purchased with money, or inherited by birth. It comes only through Jesus Christ. The cross declares God's love, and the empty tomb proclaims His victory over sin and death. In Christ alone we find redemption, forgiveness, and the assurance of eternal life. This is not religious theory but transforming reality—the power of God unto salvation for everyone who believes.
Throughout Scripture we see that salvation is God's initiative, not man's. From the lamb sacrificed in Eden to cover Adam and Eve, to the Passover lamb in Egypt, every symbol pointed to Jesus, the true Lamb of God. His sacrifice on Calvary is the central theme of the Bible and the foundation of Christian hope. To accept salvation is to step from darkness into light, from guilt into grace, from death into life. This week we explore the exclusivity, the sufficiency, and the transforming power of salvation through Christ alone.
"Christ was treated as we deserve, that we might be treated as He deserves. He was condemned for our sins, in which He had no share, that we might be justified by His righteousness, in which we had no share." (Ellen G. White, The Desire of Ages, p. 25)
Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for the gift of salvation. We confess that we cannot save ourselves through good works or human effort. We receive Your grace with humble hearts and commit ourselves to walk in the new life You have given us. Amen.
