The Word of God

Sunday's Reflection
Psalm 119:105 — Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
The Bible is not an ordinary book; it is the living Word of God. Through its pages, God reveals His will, His promises, and His plan of salvation. Without it, we stumble in darkness; with it, we walk in the light. Every story, prophecy, and commandment leads us closer to Christ, the Living Word who became flesh. Throughout history, faithful men and women risked their lives to preserve and share the Scriptures. For them, the Bible was more than ink on parchment—it was the voice of God to humanity.
This week we explore the power, authority, and necessity of Scripture in the believer's life. We will see that it is God-breathed, sharper than any sword, and the spiritual nourishment our souls require. From Genesis to Revelation, God's Word guides, corrects, transforms, and sustains those who treasure it. In an age of information overload, we need the Bible more than ever—not as another book on the shelf, but as our daily bread, our constant companion, and our unfailing guide.
"The Bible is God's voice speaking to us, just as surely as if we could hear it with our ears." (Ellen G. White, Child Guidance, p. 190)
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of Your Word. Open our eyes to see its beauty, our ears to hear Your voice, and our hearts to obey its truth. May we treasure Scripture as our greatest possession and live by its light every day. Amen.
