Lesson 10 (August 30 - September 5, 2025)
The Lord Our Judge
Memory Verse: "For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our king; it is He who will save us" (Isaiah 33:22, NIV).
Lesson 10, “The Lord Our Judge,” focuses on God as the righteous Judge who acts with justice, mercy, and salvation. Israel’s history illustrates how God judges fairly, calling His people to repentance while extending grace.
God’s Justice
The Lord’s judgments are rooted in His perfect knowledge and holiness. Unlike human judges, He sees motives as well as actions.
Mercy in Judgment
Even when God judges, He provides a path to restoration. His judgments aim not to destroy but to redeem and correct.
Christ Connection
Jesus embodies God’s judgment and mercy at the cross. There justice against sin and mercy for sinners meet.
Applications
1. Trust God’s judgments—they are always just and true.
2. Examine yourself honestly before Him.
3. Find comfort in Christ’s intercession—our Judge is also our Savior.
4. Live with integrity, knowing nothing is hidden from His sight.
✨ In essence: God’s role as Judge is good news—He saves, restores, and calls us to live faithfully in the light of His justice and mercy.
