Lesson 10 (February 28 - March 6, 2026)
Complete in Christ
Memory Verse: "So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ" (Colossians 2:16–17, NKJV).
Lesson 10, “Complete in Christ,” emphasizes the sufficiency of Christ for salvation, identity, and spiritual growth. Paul warns believers against teachings that suggest Christ is not enough and calls them to rest fully in what Christ has already accomplished. True completeness is found not in rituals, rules, or human effort, but in a living relationship with Jesus.
Fullness in Christ Alone
Paul affirms that believers are complete in Christ. Nothing needs to be added to His work. Any system that places confidence in human traditions, self-denial, or external observances risks shifting faith away from Christ’s finished work.
Freedom From Judgment
The lesson highlights freedom from being judged by others over food, drink, festivals, or religious observances. These practices may point to spiritual truths, but they are not the source of salvation. Christ Himself is the reality to which they point.
Victory Through the Cross
At the cross, Christ disarmed spiritual powers and secured victory over sin and death. Believers share in this victory, no longer bound by fear, condemnation, or false spiritual authorities.
Living From, Not For, Acceptance
Paul’s message encourages believers to live from the acceptance already given in Christ rather than striving to earn God’s favor. Obedience flows from gratitude and faith, not obligation or fear.
Christ Connection
Jesus fulfills everything the law and religious symbols anticipated. In Him, God’s plan of redemption is complete, and believers find assurance, freedom, and peace.
Applications
1. Rest confidently in Christ’s finished work.
2. Reject teachings that diminish Christ’s sufficiency.
3. Live in freedom rather than religious pressure.
4. Obey God out of love, not fear or judgment.
5. Find identity and wholeness in Christ alone.
✨ In essence: “Complete in Christ” teaches that Jesus is fully sufficient for salvation and spiritual life, calling believers to rest in Him rather than seeking completeness elsewhere.
